All financial grants from The 30-Days Foundation will come in the form of a Gift Certificate or direct payment to the business you are wishing to pay. No personal checks or cash will be granted directly to the person requesting help.

Mick Sterling has founded and produced multiple charitable events and organizations since 1992, including HEART & SOUL, a benefit for One Heartland that raised hundreds of thousands of dollars. He also has produced events and raised funds for the St. Joseph Home for Children, The Twin Cities Youth Jazz Camp, Turning Point Insurance Cooperative and multiple charities for individuals in the Twin Cities area. An inductee of the Mid-America Music Hall of Fame in 2010, Sterling's reputation for his charitable efforts is well-respected.

History of the Foundation

The 30-Days Foundation was created by Twin Cities musician and Event Producer Mick Sterling. Inspired by personal stories from friends and families, as well as multiple times in his own life concerning every day financial struggles, Sterling wanted to find a way to provide a remedy for something we've all been through at one or more times in our lives. The 30-Days Foundation is attempting to address this and provide some relief.

The beauty of this life is that its unpredictable.

Sometimes it works in your favor, sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't in a financial sense, the source of that financial instability stems from a series of consecutive setbacks that starts with one minor or major thing. For most people, these financial setbacks come as surprises. One setback begets another setback and it continues. When that happens, individuals and families can find themselves deep in debt, causing multiple stressful moments that can affect every person in their own family.

The 30-Days Foundation will be an outlet for people in need to access to help them out of a jam.

We want to help people get over the hump. To take care of a nagging bill that won't leave them alone. To provide them a down payment for an apartment. To fix their tires and other car repairs so they can get to work every morning. To pay for groceries for the month. To buy baby supplies for the newborn. To buy their kids some school clothes and supplies and multiple other real-life scenarios that every family and individual has gone through.

The concept is simple. Make the simple request on the website. Provide one personal/professional reference to verify your story. If the funds are available within The 30-Days Foundation and the content of the request fits the simple guidelines, The 30-Days Foundation will do all it can to assist the person asking for help. This all happens within thirty days of the request. Ask. Action. Relief. The "action" and "relief" parts of that last sentence can only happen with your help.

For the sole reason that The 30-Days Foundation wants the actual need to be in the forefront of the initial stage of the request. If the request can be granted, more specific information, name, address, etc will commence

Why do we need a reference?

Multiple reasons. Due diligence, ethics, integrity of the foundation and to assure all who request that grants are given to those truly in need, it's imperative that all people requesting provide (1) personal and/or professional reference.

How much can you request?

The maximum amount The 30-Days Foundation can grant is $1,500.00. However, it's very important to be aware that the amount requested needs to coincide with the need. Example: A request for $1,500.00 of school supplies or payment for utility bills will not be seriously considered because they simply don't cost that much. $1,500 for a used car or security deposit for a town home or apartment makes sense. Bottom line, request what you truly need financially and your request will be given more credence

When will you hear from us?

All requests will be notified within 48 hours of the actual request being received by The 30-Days Foundation. Within thirty days of your initial request, you will be notified if your request can be granted or not granted. If it can be, your financial grant will come to you within thirty days of your initial online request.
