" I am writing to express my gratitude for the 30-Days Foundation, and for the critical financial support that they have provided to our clients and former clients in the past 5 years. Periodically, individuals connected with our housing support programs encounter needs that our agency is unable to meet due to eligibility, compliance, and other circumstantial criteria. Some examples include back rent, security deposits, funds for a phone, funds for a ticket to attend a family member’s funeral. The nature and severity of the needs range from issues of personal and emotional importance to cases where, without financial assistance, the individual faces imminent homelessness. In most cases the amount of funding needed, though unattainable for the individual, is not especially large. There is a gap. We are grateful that the 30-Days Foundation has been willing to help fill that gap for many of our clients.
Just recently, one of our former housing support clients reached out because he had weathered some difficult family and personal circumstances and fallen behind on his rent. His landlord had filed an eviction. In this case, the amount owed was formidable. This individual was able to patch together the financial assistance from several organizations – including a significant contribution from The 30-Days Foundation. The willingness of the foundation to help out in this collective effort literally prevented the eviction of this vulnerable individual, avoiding both immediate homelessness and the significant barrier of having an eviction on their record for future housing.
This is the impact that the 30-Days Foundation makes in the lives of many who just need a little bit more to access an opportunity or avoid a catastrophe. Thank you! "
